Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha to show ‘Tevar’ in Boney Kapoor’s film

Arjun Kapoor’s next is titled ‘Tevar’, the lad will romance Sonakshi Sinha

Now as Boney Kapoor has acquired the rights of Hindi remake of the South hit Okkadu, who else than his son Arjun Kapoor to play the lead role. Earlier it was said that Arjun’s producer-dad was waiting for his son’s dates, but the beta was too busy to do the movie. Finally, Arjun is doing the film with his father.

Since the single-word titles work better for movies nowadays, the makers have decided to name Arjun Kapoor’s film Tevar. It’s learnt that Boney Kapoor got the title Tevar from Yash Raj Films.

“Boney Kapoor wanted the title 'Tevar', which he realised was with YRF as it was a favourite of Yashji's. When Arjun told Adi (Aditya) that they were keen to name the film ‘Tevar', he gave him the title without any further delay,” a source is quoted as saying.

In the movie Tevar, Arjun will be seen as an Agra-boy, who is a Kabaddi champ, and guess who he is going to romance? The heroine of the masses, Sonakshi Sinha.

The movie will soon go on the floors as Arjun Kapoor is almost done with his projects Gunday, Finding Fanny Fernandes and 2 States. Tevar will be directed by the debutant Amit Sharma. Sharma has just struck gold with his much-appreciated Google Search Reunion ad.

Acting with a stalwart like Naseeruddin Shah in Jackpot, actress Sunny Leone says she fears she ended up looking like a big dork.

Indo-Canadian adult film star Sunny Leone, who will be seen with actor Naseeruddin Shah in the upcoming movie Jackpot (watch trailer here), Tuesday said she was impressed with the way the veteran actor carries himself both on-screen and off-screen.

Having forayed into Bollywood with the erotic thriller Jism 2, the 32-year-old looked up to the acclaimed actor for suggestions to improve her acting skills.

"Working with him (Naseer) was so much fun...one of the first experiences with him was me telling him, 'Sir, if there's anything that I am doing wrong... that I am doing a bad job or doing a good job...any advice that you want to give me please give me... I will take it... I don't care if you think I am horrible... I will try and work better'.

"He just laughed at and patted my back," she told reporters in Kolkata during the promotion of her film.

"I am sure he must have thought I am a big dork," she said.

The actress gushed about the way Naseeruddin Shah behaves in front of the camera as well as the way he "conducts himself with the crew".

"I learnt so much from him...not just his films...the way he behaves with his crew...how he is with his staff.. how he conducts himself as a person outside the camera."

She conceded that her jackpot moment came when she entered Bollywood and participated in "Big Boss 5".

Director Kaizad Gustad shot "Jackpot" in Goa. The film also stars actor Sachiin Joshi. It hits the theatres Dec 13.

Priyanka Chopra voted Maxim India’s Hottest Woman of 2013

Bollywood actress and singer Priyanka Chopra has been named the Hottest Woman of 2013 by Maxim India magazine.

The beauty graces the cover of the December issue of the magazine clad in a pristine white deep-neck dress. She flaunts her ‘Daddy’s Lil’ Girl’ tattoo and strikes a rather coy pose with a finger on her full pout. Kohled eyes and an updo make Priyanka Chopra a pretty picture.

For a girl who once used to think herself ugly, being named the Hottest woman of the year certainly would be flattering.

Year 2013 may be full of ups and downs for Priyanka Chopra but it ends on a high with this honour. The actress says while professionally, the year was very happening, what with all the acclaim she won for her single ‘Exotic’ with Pitbull, she suffered a huge personal loss with the passing away of her father.

“I don’t think I have dealt with the personal loss yet. I haven’t had the time to. It’s so hard to accept that he’s not there anymore,” Priyanka Chopra says about her dad’s death.

Ishq Di Booṭi - Abrar-Ul-Haq Coke Studio, Season 6, Episode 2 ..

This Season, Coke Studio welcomes the man who many feel is the King of Bhangra in our country. In walks Abrar-ul-Haq, the name that made his mark in the Pakistani music industry with hit songs such as ‘Billo de Ghar’, ‘Rung Rung’ and ‘Preeto’. Starting his journey from Narowal, Punjab, Abrar went on to study Social Sciences and later became a teacher at the prestigious Aitchison College in Lahore. However, one thing that prevailed alongside the academic route was his passion for his music and this manifested in 1995 with Abrar’s first album ‘Billo de Ghar’. With massive acclaim and 5 more albums to follow, Abrar-ul-Haq remains one of Pakistan’s most prolific artists particularly in the Punjabi tradition. Abrar is also an avid philanthropist and humanitarian – he is the founder of SAHARA for Life Trust as well as the Sughra Shafi Medical Complex in Narowal. He aims to encourage the promotion of health and education in the country’s most remote areas.
‘Music has the power to cross boundaries as it does travel abroad and creates a stir. We also listen to Western music as it does connect with our hearts, if not why would we play or listen to it? Given the music that I make, no one would imagine that Abrar listens to Western music but much of my college days were spent listening to Western tunes. Music is a powerful thing because it can connect with anyone. If there is the potential, there should be flexibility. If we can listen to their music, they can also listen to ours. These boundaries can definitely be crossed.’
His song ‘Paani da Bulbula’ was recently used in the film ‘Zinda Bhaag’ alongside some of the country’s top musical talent. This Season Abrar reconnects with his music after a hiatus of several years and joins the Coke Studio journey with all his Punjabi zest.
